During the project’s implementation, members of the ACCORD network participated in training sessions, familiarized themselves with the practices of European civil society organizations, and explored cooperation between governments, local authorities, and the public sector. As part of the program, representatives of member organizations took part in a study trip to Hungary, where they visited the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local government offices, and social institutions operated by NGOs<\/strong><\/p>

The Role and Participation of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations in Monitoring the European Neighborhood Policy (2009)<\/p>

42 civil society organizations, along with international experts, participated in a conference dedicated to discussing opportunities for cooperation between the European Union and Ukraine. Based on the conference outcomes, recommendations were developed for the National Strategic Plans and Indicative Programs for 2010-2013. These proposals were then submitted to the European Commission.<\/strong><\/p>

As a result of this two-year program, around 400 individuals received social and legal consultations. Accredited courses in “Computer Typing Operator” were completed by 80 participants, basic computer courses by 72 individuals, and “Modern Household Management” courses by 60 unemployed women. Additionally, the ACCORD network was established, incorporating 20 non-governmental organizations.<\/strong><\/p>

Humanitarian aid was provided for the treatment of the wounded in Kyiv. With financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, medical supplies and equipment worth 2 million forints were purchased to ensure further treatment for the affected individuals. Assistance was also provided to internally displaced persons in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv.<\/strong><\/p>

Humanitarian Aid (March 27, 2020 \u2013 April 26, 2020)<\/p>

The charitable foundation “ZCRK Advance,” with support from the Hungary Helps Program, provided humanitarian assistance to the population of Zakarpattia region to mitigate the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the foundation has partnered with the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary to deliver targeted humanitarian aid to those in need. In April 2020, the foundation participated in a humanitarian initiative, delivering personal protective equipment\u2014clothing, goggles, antiseptics, etc.\u2014to medical institutions in Ukraine. Later that year, in October, ventilators were provided to healthcare facilities in the Zakarpattia region. In January 2021, fifty ventilators were distributed to 46 hospitals across 10 regions of Ukraine.<\/strong><\/p>
